Robin Hoods at Olympic Archery Competition at Lord's Cricket Ground


Followed by the opening ceremony, Robin Hoods from around the globe will dominate the rest of the day's event as it is archery is the only game taking place on 27th July. In the four separate events, as listed below, 128 archers will be participating.


Like Football, archery also made its debut at Paris Olympics 1900, but was formally included as a permanent fixture in 1972 Olympics at Munich.

At Beijing Olympics 2008, Ukraine's Viktor Ruban secured gold in the men's individual, while China's Zhang Juanjuan taking the women's crown. South Korea won both team events
The schedule for the Robin Hoods to show their archery skills is as under:
Men's Individual: July 27 - culminating on August 3, 2012 for the gold medal events.
Men's Team: July 28 - the gold medal event for the men's team event will be held on 28th July.
Women's Individual: 27 July - medal events will be held on August 2, 2012.
Women's Team: July 29 - the medal events will be held on 2nd August 2012.
The archery matches will be held at the Lord's Cricket Ground.
