Manchester City, sitting at no.4 on the points table takes on 19th placed hosts Fulham at Craven Cottage, London Saturday afternoon today  for Round 17 of the 2013/2014 of English Barclays Premier League.

Citizens look for an extra push toward the table lead when they visit the struggling Cottagers in London as they are flying high on a 5 game unbeaten run in the league, a stretch that included 4 wins that saw off North London duo Tottenham and Arsenal with 6 goals apiece.

Manchester City has scored 19 goals in their last 5 matches and will feel confident coming in against 19th place Fulham.

Fulham too have played better recently coming into this Saturday-last weekend's 4-1 loss to Everton was much closer than the scoreboard suggests-and find themselves knocking on the door to the safety zone just 1 point adrift West Ham.

Possible line-ups
Fulham:
Keeper: Stekelenburg
Defenders: Riise, Hughes, Senderos, Riether
Midfielders: Sidwell, Parker, Karagounis

Djokovic beats Nadal to win World Tour Finals

Nadal may have been world number 1, but it was Djokovic which sealed the year 2013 with a stunning win over Nadal at World Tour Finals' final at London's O2 Arena Monday night.

In fact Nadal did not offer any worthwhile reistance to the Serbian who successfully defended his title beating Nadal 6-3, 6-4.

Nadal might have earned the year-end number one ranking after his remarkable return from injury in February, but Djokovic denied him a first ATP Finals title and laid down a marker for battles to come in 2014.

Djokovic, 26, extended his unbeaten run to 22 matches as he claimed the season-ending title for the third time.

"It's the highest quality of tennis that you have next to Grand Slams, because every match that you play, you play against a top 10 player every second day," said Djokovic. "Especially this year, with back to back Paris Bercy tournament and London, wasn't easy for sure. I am very proud of the way that I managed to recover and perform better and better as the tournament went on."

Djokovic now proceeds to Belgrade, where Serbia take on the Czech Republic in the Davis Cup final from Friday.

England vs South Africa: ICC Champions Trophy - 1st Semi Final | Watch Live Free Streaming - 19 June

The first semi final of the ICC Champions Trophy is being played between England and South Africa at Kennington Oval, London Wednesday morning today.

While England came across more than convincing with their performance by topping the Group A, South Africa have diligently worked their way through Group B to make the semifinals cut - they are behind India in Group B.

England will try to cash on ther excellent bowling performance of James Anderson, who scalped eight wickets in three matches with 3/30 as his best figures in the tournament.

However, South African all-rounder Ryan McLaren is not far behind Anderson with eight wickets in three matches with 4/19 as his best bowling figures for the Proteas. But, with the return of their pace spearhead Dale Steyn into the squad, AB de Villiers' men pose a serious threat to the hosts.

As for the stats on British soil, England lead 12-7 in the head-to-head stakes. The one-day series last summer was tied 2-2, with England winning a low-scoring game at The Oval. This is one of only three Test-playing countries - New Zealand and Sri Lanka are the others - where South Africa have a losing record (16-17).

Australia vs Sri Lanka: ICC Champions Trophy - 12th Match | Watch Live Free Streaming - 17 June

The 12th match of the ICC Champions Trophy is being played between Australia and Sri Lanka of Group A  Kennington Oval, London Monday afternoon today.

Although, Sri Lanka and New Zealand have better chances than Australia to sail into the semis, it is Sri Lanka who have the situation in their control. Their batting showed form during the chase against England and their bowling was exceptional in the narrow loss to New Zealand.

Australia find themselves in a strange position. The team has cruised to the knockout stages in the past, but this time, they are in danger of being eliminated without a win.

However, to qualify for the semis, Sri Lanka, who more often than not make it to the knockouts in ICC tournaments, just need a win - but Australia, who have looked

India vs West Indies: ICC Champions Trophy - 6th Match | Watch Live Free Streaming - 11 June

India take on West Indies in the sixth game of the International Council (ICC) Champions Trophy 2013 at Kennington Oval, London on Tuesday. They have won their respective tournament openers in Group B.

India beat South Africa by 26 runs in the tournament opening game. West Indies beat Pakistan by two wickets in a low scoring match in their previous game.

It may be intresting for many to know that India and West Indies have never played against each other in England in 30 years.

When India last played West Indies in an ODI in England, ODI cricket and West Indies were the kings. India upset West Indies that afternoon, became the new kings of ODI cricket, and paved the way for a whole new commercial explosion in the format, reports cricinfo.

Thirty years later, as they face off in England again, India are the world champions and the No. 1 ODI side, but the format itself is fighting for relevance, at least in popular discourse.

The likely opposing teams for the match are:
India squad
MS Dhoni*†, R Ashwin, S Dhawan, RA Jadeja, KD Karthik†, V Kohli, B Kumar, A Mishra, IK Pathan, SK Raina, I Sharma, RG Sharma, M Vijay, R Vinay Kumar, UT Yadav

West Indies squad
DJ Bravo*, D Ramdin†, TL Best, DM Bravo, J Charles, CH Gayle, JO Holder, SP Narine, KA Pollard, R Rampaul, KAJ Roach, DJG Sammy, MN Samuels, RR Sarwan, DS Smith

Umpires Aleem Dar and AL Hill

Forecast at the Oval is very different to the previous games with cloud cover and 30% chance of rain, the conditions are going to be typical of early summer in England. if utilized well swinging although the use of the crappy Kookaburra ball does negate this a tad.

The match is scheduled on Tuesday, 11 June (09:30 GMT) | at Kennington Oval, London.

Pakistan vs West Indies: ICC Champions Trophy - 2nd ODI | Watch Live Free Streaming - 7 June

The ICC Champions Trophy, which kicked off Thursday yesterday with its first match between India and South Africa, enters its second day and second match between Pakistan and the West Indies of Group B Friday today.

In the opener first day match India beat South Africa by 26 runs, after 114 from Shikhar Dhawan at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff.

It was here in 2004 when the West Indies won the Champions Trophy and when Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, and Ramnaresh Sarwan enter the Oval today, they will be reminded of their winning day some nine years ago.

Pakistan is without its some key players like Younis Khan and Shahid Afridi this year, which made Pakistan's matches against Ireland recently as Pakistan barely managed to beat Ireland. Pakistan's fast bowler Umer Gul is also out due to injury. This leaves Pakistan an uphill task to win over the experienced squad of the W indies. This leaves a heavy responsibility on Saeed Ajmal - Pakistan can rely on him to bowl economical overs and pick up important wickets as well.

In ICC ODI tournaments, Pakistan have beaten West Indies on four occasions and lost eight times. They won the last two encounters between the teams in ICC tournaments - in the 2009 Champions Trophy in South Africa and the World Cup quarter-final in Dhaka.

Pakistan are a tricky team and after a solid performance against South Africa in the warm-up game, they would be gearing up for the real challenge against West Indies. This makes today's match rather interesting to watch.

The likely opposing teams for the match are:
Pakistan squad
Misbah-ul-Haq*, Abdur Rehman, Asad Ali, Asad Shafiq, Ehsan Adil, Imran Farhat, Junaid Khan, Kamran Akmal†, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Irfan, Nasir Jamshed, Saeed Ajmal, Shoaib Malik, Umar Amin, Wahab Riaz

West Indies squad
DJ Bravo*, D Ramdin†, TL Best, DM Bravo, J Charles, CH Gayle, JO Holder, SP Narine, KA Pollard, R Rampaul, KAJ Roach, DJG Sammy, MN Samuels, RR Sarwan, DS Smith

Umpires SJ Davis and NJ Llong

The match is scheduled on Friday, 7 June (09:30 GMT) | at Kennington Oval, London.

Watch Live Japan and South Korea playing for Olympic Football Bronze | 10 August 2012

Japan and South Korea come face to face Friday evening at London Olympics 2012 to win over each other to bag the Olympics Bronze.

It may be added for information that Barazil and Mexico have already qualified for the Olympics football final, being played Saturday, 11 August 2012.

Japan has already owon the Olympic bronze once - but that was way back in 1968. South Korea has yet to bag any medal in Olympics football. This measn that both teams are already new in the bronze medal queue as 1968 is almost history now for Japan.

Japan's football team has a higher ranking than their rival Friday in FIFA and their strong defence did not let them have a goal scored against them till the semis. So it would be worth watching who outscore the other to win over the Olympic bronze Friday evening at London Olympics.

But wait - there is one more hidden prize for the South Korean footballers: if they win the bronze, they will be exempted from the compulsory military service that each South Korean must do til the age of 29. So I do not have to say which team will be putting in their extra power and enter the field Friday evening with full turbo booster charges on.

The match is scheduled for Friday 10 August 2012 at 18:40 GMT

Olympics Football: Brazil to play Mexico for a possible Gold Saturday

Brazil's dream of winning an elusive Olympic soccer gold came a step closer when they thrashed South Korea 3-0 in the semifinals at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

The victory sets up a title decider against Mexico at Wembley Stadium on Saturday after the Mexicans beat Japan 3-1 in the earlier last four clash.

Brazil, whose obsession with winning gold is matched by few other countries, won with second-half goals from forward Leandro Damiao, now tournament top scorer with six, after a 38th minute opener from Romulo in front of a 69,389 crowd.

Korea now face Japan in what is likely to be a lively battle for the bronze medal at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on Friday while Brazil will hope to be crowned Olympic champions at last against Mexico on Saturday.

Serena wins second gold in Olympic Tennis - Andy Murray loses his second in Mixed Doubles

The Williams sisters won a gold in the ladies' doubles event of Olympic Tennis. The Williams sisters beat Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic 6-4, 6-4.

While the win brought the second gold to USA, it also brought second gold to Serena Williams, who beat Maria Sharapova in the ladies' single event of Olympic Tennis on Saturday to win her first gold in the Olympics. Serena now joins Steffi Graf as the only women to complete the Golden Slam — winning the Olympics and the four majors. Serena became tennis’ first double gold medalist at an Olympics since Venus won singles and doubles at the 2000 Sydney Games.

Third-seeded Maria Kirilenko and Nadia Petrova of Russia took the bronze by beating the top-seeded U.S. pair of Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1.

On the other hand, Britian's Andy Murray, who ousted Roger Federer in the men's single event of Olympics tennis Sunday and won gold for Britain, failed to win a second gold in the mixed double event and settled for a silver.

The match scheduled minutes after the final, brought a jubilant but rather tired Murray after having played three tiresome sets in the singles' event, wich prevented him from giving his best to his mixed doubles partner Laura Robson. The duo thus lost to Victoria Azarenka and Max Mirnyi despite winning the first set 6-2.

Watch Live Djokovic and Del Potro in pursuit of Olympics Bronze | Free Streaming Links - 5 August

World no.3 Serbian Novak Djokovic, who was ousted from the Olympic gold rush by Andy Murray in the semi finals, now plays Argentinian Juan Martin Del Potro for a bronze in the Olympics men's singles tennis event.

Djokovic won a bronze in 2008 Olympics at Beijing and it seems he did not want a better medal than a possible bronze this London Olympics 2012 too.

Although Djokovic fought well and hard against the Scot Andy Murray and finally lost 5-7, 5-7, it seems he did not have gold in mind while playing Andy. Andy Murray remarked during the Wimbledon that the top fours are about to have a change in days to come. Well Djokovic and Nadal are already out and now Federer and Andy remain for the gold game Sunday afternoon.

As for Djokovic vs Potro, we may have more surprises as Potro really stunned Federer in the semis and almost got him. If the Serbian is not careful Sunday today, he may even lose the bronze that is left out for  him.

Playing on Court No.1 may be painful for the former world no.1, but that is how the sport world is. Centre Court for those who are in the race and Court One for the left outs.

The bronze medal match is scheduled for Sunday, 5 August 2012 at 11:00 GMT at Wimbledon Court No.1.
