World no.2 Britain's Andy Murray plays his Wimbledon quarters match against 54th ranked left handed Spaniard  Fernando Verdasco on Centre Court Wednesday afternoon today.

This will be their 11th encounter since they first played against each other in Segovia in 2003. Of these 10 encounters, Murray dominates the Spaniard 8-2.

Murray and  Fernando Verdasco last played at London in 2009 in the Robin when Murray beat Verdasco 6-4 6-7(4) 7-6(3).

Verdasco, the former world No 7, is in the quarter-finals of a grand slam for the first time since the 2010 US Open.

It may be added that Andy Murray will attempt to reach the Wimbledon semi-finals for a fifth consecutive year when he plays Fernando Verdasco of Spain today.

The match is scheduled for Wednesday, 3 July 2013 at 16:30 GMT at the Centre Court.
