Top Guns into Australian Open Quarters while Sharapova Crashes

All top guns of tennis world have qualified for the last eight stage of the Australian Open. This includes world no.1 Rafael Nadal, British Andy Murray and Swiss Roger Federer.

Nadal beat Kei Nishikori 7-6 (7-3) 7-5 7-6 (7-3), Murray overcame a French Stephane Robert 6-1 6-2 6-7 (6-8) 6-2 while 17-time Grand Slam champion Federer beat 10th seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-3 7-5 6-4 just hours from now. 

Like Ivanovic shocked world no.1 Serena Williams in the round four, the same way 20th seed of Slovakia Dominika Cibulkova stunned 3rd seeded Russian Maria Sharapova  3-6 6-4 6-1 today.

Defending champion Victoria Azarenka remains on course for a third straight Australian Open title after she beat Sloane Stephens 6-3 6-2. With the ouster of Serena and Sharapova, Azarenka is hopeful to defend her title with much ease this year too.
