Wednesday night saw a clean sweep by Atletico Madrid over Athletic Bibao when they won the Europa League final 3-0.

Atletico Madrid's Radamel Falcao hit the Bilbao twice to seal the victory. Besides the rest of the team formed a solid wall to not to let the Bilbao's forwards to make a breach and go to their goal keeper.
Right from the start the Atletico Madrid looked determined, charged and aggressive and played like a winning team. Even the Bilbao looked dazed and flabbergasted about Atletico Madrid's team performance - something they once did to Man United in the last 16 of the competition.
The first goal came by Falcao in the seventh minute of the match, when fed by a pass down the inside-right channel by Adrian. Falcao struck again in the 34th minute.To seal the victory at 3-0, Diego shot the third goal in the closing moments of the match, the 85th minute when he drilled the ball into the bottom right corner of the post with his left foot.
Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone proudly remarked after winning the Europa Cup:
"Winning is always marvellous, but you enjoy it more as a player, because one is on the pitch, one can scream, run, do a lap of honour.When you are a coach you leave that sort of thing to the players."
