Like yesterday, when Nadal and Sharapova were beaten, today
was a big shocker for the entire British crowd at the Centre Court when their
favourite and London’s darling Andy Murray the defending champion, crumbled at
the hands of 11th ranked Bulgaria's
Grigor Dimitrov on the Centre Court in the Wimbledon quarters.
Dimitrov beat the
second time title aspirant Andy Murray in straight sets 6-1 7-6 (7-4) 6-2 to reach his first
Grand Slam semi-final. Had Murray won the Wimbledon this time too, he
would have equaled the record of last British Wimbledon champion Fred Perry.
While the crowd and Andy’s
mother were awe struck with his defeat, so were Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Duchess of Cambridge Kate who had specially came to view their favourite tennis
star.
