Hamilton claims he was Dumped by McLaren for visiting Mercedes

Hamilton's fourteen years old association with McLaren comes to an end for visiting his former team Mercedes.
Hamilton: McLaren days

'I went to see them in Australia but I also tried to see them in Jerez, at the test, and there (McLaren's sporting director) Sam Michael threw me out of the garage - That wasn’t very positive and I don’t feel very good about that,' said Hamilton, who was speaking to the official Formula One website.

The British driver now seals a three-year deal at Mercedes.

Hamilton's controversial switch appears to have worked in his favour with Mercedes having the upper hand over McLaren in the early stages of this season.

Hungary Grand Prix: Hamilton records flawless win

Lewis Hamilton delivered a flawless drive from pole position to the chequered flag to win yesterday's Hungarian Grand Prix for McLaren and revive his challenge for this year's Formula One drivers' world championship.

The 27-year-old Briton took control of the race from the start and stayed in front, pit stops apart, as he resisted strong late pressure to come home ahead of Finland's Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen.

Hamilton's win was his second of the year and the 19th of his career.

Formula 1 - Hungarian Grand Prix Qualification | Watch Live Free Streaming - 28 July

Let us take a break from Olympics after remaining awake the whole Saturday night and see what all is going on elsewhere.

In Budapest, Hungary, the Formula 1 cars are roaring on the tracks in the qualification round. And in that, Lewis Hamilton will be looking to build on his fantastic win in the German Grand Prix as the F1 circuit moves to Hungary on Sunday.

Vettel's teammate Mark Webber is the second favourite to qualify first. The Australian has finished third in four consecutive races. Last year a drive through-penalty for Vettel gave Webber an easy win here, and the Australian could need some similar luck, as he has only beaten his teammate in one race this season.

Hamilton is currently 82 points adrift of Vettel in the Drivers Championship, with the season just over half way through. The Brit has won this race twice before and will be looking for maximum points here to mount a serious challenge.

The qualification round is scheduled for Saturday, 28 July 2012 at 12:00 GMT

Hamilton Stripped of Pole at Spanish Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton of McLaren lost his Spanish Grand Prix pole position for breaking Formula One rules, giving Pastor Maldonado first place on the starting grid for Sunday’s race near Barcelona.
Hamilton was forced to stop after crossing the line during qualifying, and his team said he had insufficient fuel to return to the pits. The sport’s governing body declared a rules violation and bumped him to last place.
