World Number One Victoria Azarenka takes on 8th ranked Chines Na Li at the WTA Madrid Friday today morning.

Both Azarenka and Li ahve come across each other seven times since 2008 and Li has a winning edge over Azarenka 4-3. Last time both the players met were at WTA Sydney, Australia earlier this year when Azarenka beat Li 6-2 1-6 6-3.
In the last ten matches played by both 6-2 1-6 6-3 and Li, each player has won eight and lost two.
Azarenka lost to Sharapova at Stuttgart recently 1-6, 4-6, while she beat Ivanovic in the on going WTA Madrid 6-4, 6-4.
Li lost to Radwanska 6-3 2-6 3-6 at Stuttgart while she recently beat Angelique Kerber at Madrid 7-5, 6-4.
After hot favourite Nadal's defeat in ATP Madrid, nothing can be said of certain whether a higher ranking player is hot favourite or not. For this morning's first match between Azarenka - Na Li, I now keep my fingers crossed.
