The Euro 2012 was set into motion on Friday yesterday with Greece facing hosts Poland and Russians taking on the Czech Republic. About 100 000 of football fans came to the fan zone in the center of Warsaw to watch the first match of the soccer Euro 2012 between Poland and Greece, in Warsaw, Poland, Friday.
Greece and Poland perhaps decided not to make headlines in their first match and settled for a 1-1 draw in the Group A match at National Stadium, Warsaw.
The hosts Poland were dominant in the first half and exploited the right side on the field and eventually taking the lead in the 17th minute.
But tides turned in the second half and the Greeks took over the arena despite playing with 10 men. And scored the equalizer.
