Now having rested awhile, the world no.3 Andy Murray from Great Britain takes on 6th ranked Tomas Berdych from the Czech Republic in the first match of the championship based on the Round Robin concept.

Andy first played against Berdych at Basel, Switzerland in 2005 and has since met him six times. They last played the US Open semis this year. Of these seven encounters, Berdych has won four matches, though he lost to Murray in their last encounter at US Open.

Murray would ATP World Tours Final title thirsty as he has just recently joined the league of Grand Slam winners and would want to add more feathers to his cap. We would watch Murray in his endeavours from today on and see whether Federer and Djokovic would allow him to do so or not.
