The first match of the Round Robin on Day-4 is being played between world no.2 Roger Federer and world no. 5 Spaniard David Ferrer Thursday afternoon today. Both players in Group B have two points each, while Del Potro and Tipsarevic have yet to have any points scored so far.
Ferrer had some difficulty in his match against Del Potro as the latter won the second set to put additional pressure on Ferrer to win the third set, in match that last well over two hours. Ferrer has yet to win at London Tours - the best he had here was in 2007 when he reached the finals.
Both Federer and Ferrer have met fourteen times before since they first met at Vienna in 2003 - and Federer won all fourteen matches. But that should not give over confidence to former world no.1 as there have been many a setback seen in recent times.
The match is scheduled for Thursday, 8 November 2012 at 13:45 GMT at O2 Arena, London.
