Those who saw the Manchester United-Chelsea duel at Old Trafford last night would remember it as one of the classics - a match by two experienced and highly competitive clubs playing for the love of game and for the amusement of their fans, besides moving forward in the FA Cup.
When they two teams met, the Red Devils immediately subdued the Blues with an early goal in the fifth minute of the first half by Hernandez. This was followed by yet another goal by Rooney in the 11th minute. Thereafter, it seemed as if the Devils are going to keep their lead till the end - yes they did in the first half. For second half was another story.
The Blues never wanted to throw in the towel and let the Devils snatch away the game from them. And then towards the last part of the second half, the Blues struck with the two consecutive goals in the 59th minute (Hazard) and the 68th minutes (Ramires) which compeletely changed the complexion of the match and earned them a very well deserved FA Cup quarterfinal replay.
Chelsea's fans celebrated the draw at the final whistle and Benitez will have been delighted by the spirit, resilience and quality shown by his side, who can now approach the replay at Stamford Bridge with optimism as Manchester City await the winners at Wembley in the last four.
