World no.1 American Serena Williams plays her third round match of the Roland Garros against 30th ranked Romanian Sorana Cirstea on Court Suzanne Lenglen Friday today.

Serena has played against Sorana Cirstea only once at Stanford in 2012 when she beat the Romanian 6-1, 6-2 in the semis.

Sorana Cirstea has lost five of her last ten matches - her last defeat was at Rome recently against A. Morita 6-1 6-3. She moved to the thrid round to play against Williams beating J. Larsson 6-1 6-4.

Serena who is eyeing the Roland Garros this year, beat C Garcia 6-1, 6-2 in the second round.

The third round match of Roland Garros is scheduled for Friday, 31 May 2013 11:20 GMT at Court Suzanne Lenglen.
