Froome's 'monumental' Tour de France triumph

Britain's Christopher Froome won the 100th edition of the Tour de France cycle race Sunday 21 July yesterday at Paris, France.

28 years old Froome reached the final stage of the Tour by a margin of four minutes 20 seconds from Colombia's Nairo Quintana. Froome was all tears for his significance achievement.

Froome's success means Britain has now produced two successive Tour de France winners after Sky team-mate Bradley Wiggins last year became the first Briton to win the prestigious event.

Six-time Olympic champion Chris Hoy also hailed Chris Froome's Tour de France triumph as a monumental achievement for Britain.
