Ageing Federer may find it difficult to play on the second court and not on Rod Laver Arena - something that may be irritating for once world number 1.
It may be recalled that Federer played on Louis Armstrong Stadium (not Arthur Ashe) during US Open 2013 for the first time in seven years, and he lost to Tommy Robredo. On Day-4 Federer plays his second round match on Australian Open’s secondary show court for the first time since 2004. Kavcic shouldn't give him any trouble, but it’ll be surreal watching Federer take the court. Hisense has a completely different feel.
Federer has never played Blaz Kavcic before - but he should not be difficult to be tackled by experienced Federer who is moving cautiously to reach at least the semis.
The second round match between Roger Federer vs Blaz Kavcicis scheduled for 16 January 2014 at 06:00 GMT at Hisense Arena.
