Djokovic vs Federer: Watch Live Free Streaming | Barclays World Tour Finals [Final] - 12 November


Last night it was treat to see world no.2 Roger Federer in his usual superb form while playing the semi final of the Barclays World Tour Finals against world no.3 and US Open champion Andy Murray. Federer beat Murray 7(7)-6 (5), 6-2 and qualified for today's final against recently elevated to world no.1 Serbian Novak Djokovic.

Both world no.1 and no.2 would be looking forward to clinch the last of the season-ending ATP 1000 title before resting for the new year to start with its Grand Slam packed titles once again.

Federer and Djokovic have met 29 times since their first encounter at Monte Carlo in 2006 and except for a Davis Cup match in 2006 and Dubai in 2007 have mostly met in the semis and the finals of the tournaments and Grand Slams. Of the 29 encounters, Federer has won 16 times while Djokovic has won 13 times. They last met in the final of Cincinnati, USA in which Federer beat the Serbian 6-0, 7-6(7).

Now it is to be seen Monday evening today whether Federer win the season-ending title for the seventh time or let Djokovic have it in his cap for the first time.

The match is scheduled for Monday, 12 November 2012 at 20:00 GMT at O2 Arena, London.

Federer beats Murray to face Djokovic in Barclays World Tour Finals' Final

Oh what a great match it was - the semi final match between the world nos. 2 and 3 at the centre court of O2 arena, London.

Roger Federer meeting British Andy Murray did not find it difficult to beat the British. Although the first set went into tie break, but Federer won the first set 7-5. As for the second set, it was almost a straight set. Federer won the second  6-2 and marched into the finals of the Barclays World Tour Finals' Finals - playing against world no.1 Novak Djokovic.

After the match Federer said: It was a special match for him and loved playing here at London and that he looks forward to playing the final. Following are some of the screen shots of the match:

In the first semi final of the Barclays World Tour Finals tennis championship at O2 arena, London, world no.2 Serbian Novak Djokovic beat Argentinian Del Potro 2-1 to march into the finals of the championship.

Having lost the first set to the Argentinian, Djokovic rebounded and came back into the game to take the second set 6-3. In the third set, Djokovic broke through Del Potro's serve at 4-2 to take the score to 5-2 and finally winning own game to win the set and the match 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.

The second semi finals is to be played later today evening between world no. 2 Roger Federer and world no.3 Andy Murray. Let us see who beats who and plays the final of Barclays World Tour Finals Monday tomorrow.

Federer vs Murray: Watch Live Free Streaming | Barclays World Tour Finals [Semi Finals]- 11 November


While Djokovic plays the first semi final of the Barclays World Tour Finals against Del Potro Sunday afternoon, world no.2 and 17-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer meets world no.3 and US Open Open champion and London Olympics gold medalist Andy Murray in the second semi final Sunday evening today.


Andy Murray marched into the semis  defeating France’s Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-2, 7-6 (7/3) at London’s O2 Arena on Friday.

Although Roger Federer lost to Del Potro Saturday in their last Round Robin match, Federer had already qualified for the semis. However, Federer's second successive defeat at the hands of Del Potro says much about Federer's form and fitness and Del Potro's resolve to figure out prominently in the world tennis scene.

Federer and Murray have met 18 times before today's semi final since they first met at Bangkok in 2005, of which Murray has won ten matches. They last met at Shanghai semis this year, when Murray beat Federer just too easily 6-4, 6-4. Last time Federer beat Murray was the Wimbledon finals this year 4-6 7-5 6-3 6-4.

Federer and Murray have lost one match each in the Round Robin matches of the ongoing championship. And now it remains to be seen who overpowers who in today's semi when the world nos 2 and 3 meet Sunday afternoon to secure a place in the fianls.

The Barclays World Tour Finals tennis championship enters the crucial stage of semi finals Sunday today. In the first semi finals, world no.1 Novak Djokovic from Serbia meets 7th ranked Argentinian Juan Martin Del Potro Sunday afternoon.


The match is going to be very interesting for the reason that the Argentinean has just beaten world no.2 Roger Federer for the second time in succession Saturday to book a seat for himself in the last-four bus at the Barclays World Tour Finals. Potro who Potro beat Federer 6-4 6-7(5) 7-6(3) to rob from Federer his sixth Basel title, came hard on Federer yet again yesterday, beating Federer 7-6 (3), 4-6, 6-3 in their last Round-Robin match.

It would be Del Potro's ninth encounter with the Serbian today, since they first met at US Open in 2007, with Djokovic winning the Argentinian six times. Both met at US Open last time this year too when Djokovic beat Potro 6-2 7-6(3) 6-4 in the quarters.

Djokovic, who has won all three of the Round Robin matches in the on going championship faces Potro with a 2-1 winning spree. Would Potro be able to surpise the Serbian today and move to the fianls?

Del Potro Surprises Federer for the second time

It was the Basel final awhile ago when the then world no.1 Swiss Roger Federer eyeing the Basel title for the sixth time met Juan Martin Del Potro and thought he would overpower the Argentinian much too easily.

But it was Federer's day of being surprised and stunned as Del Potro beat Federer 6-4 6-7(5) 7-6(3) to rob from Federer his sixth Basel title.

And Saturday yesterday was yet another day for Del Potro when he came face to face with now world no.2 Roger Federer to surprise him yet again. Using his hard serve and booming forehand, Del Potro earned the last spot in the semifinals of the ATP finals, beating Federer 7-6 (3), 4-6, 6-3 in their last Round-Robin match.

It was Federer's first loss in the indoor tournament since 2009, ending a 12-match winning streak. He went undefeated in winning the last two titles and had won his first two group-stage matches this year.

Although Federer has already qualified for the semi finals, second defeat in succession at the hands of Del Potro shows latter's emergence as a new world no.1 side by side Andy Murray, who is also aspiring toe reach the top of the world.

After the match, a jubilant Del Potro said: “I don't know who is the No. 1 favourite. Djokovic, Murray or Federer can win the tournament. I can tell you, I'm the No. 4 for sure. Anything can happen. I beat Federer, Novak and Andy long time ago, so maybe if I have luck, I can repeat here.”

Qureshi-Rojer lose to Bryan Brothers in Barclays World Tour Finals [Doubles]


Pakistan tennis top seed Aisamul Haq Qureshi and his Dutch partner Jean-Julien Rojer were knocked out of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals doubles series in London, UK after losing to the Bryan brothers on Friday.

Qureshi and Rojer lost both sets of the match to the American duo 7-5, 6-4.


They now have a 32-23 record for this season, highlighted by two ATP World Tour titles at the Estoril Open and Gerry Weber Open. The Pakistani-Dutch duo had lost their first match in the ATP finals to India’s Leander Paes and his Czech partner Radek Stepanek 4-6, 5-7 on Tuesday.
