Real Madrid vs Fenerbahce Ulker: Watch Live Free Streaming | Basketball - Euroleague 30 November

Real Madrid meet visitors Fenerbahce Ulker from Turkey Friday evening 30 November today in the Spanish capital Madrid.

The duel is being considered a big one in the Group A. Madrid leads Group A at 5-2 and advances to the Top 16 with a win, regardless of other scores. It can also make it to the next round with a loss if both Panathinaikos Athens and BC Khimki Moscow Region win their games.

If that happens, Fenerbahce will also reach the Top 16. Fenerbahce is 4-2 but lost to Madrid by 8 points at home, so would have to win by at least that much to pass the hosts in a tie situation.

Madrid needs to play its trademark run-and-gun game, get Fernandez and Mirotic involved, deny Batiste one-on-one options in the paint and lock the defensive board to get easy points in transition. Fenerbahce needs a solid game from Andersen and Batiste, run its offense through McCalebb and generate one-on-one opportunities from him. Expect an outstanding game in the Spanish capital, as both teams have chances to seal a Top 16 spot on Friday night.

The officials for the match are:
Referee: MAESTRE, NICOLA, France
Umpire: VOJINOVIC, MILIJA, Serbia

The Friday Night SmackDown is scheduled  Friday, 30 November 2012, that is tonight, at 19:45 GMT

Jordan banned from exclusive country club for wearing cargo pants on golf course

Well celebrities have their own way of moving and appearing and mostly they are accepted as such. But sometimes they are not.

And specially when it comes to the La Gorce Country Club in Miami, Florida, which is known for its strict dress code. When Micheal Jordan, the basketball legend, took the dress code instructions for a ride, he had to face the music. The club simply did not care for his his six NBA championship rings, reported half-billion-dollar fortune and worldwide recognition.

BasketBRAWL during Nets-Celtics game

It is very normal when players are knocked down in the field / courts 'deliberately' and matter ends amicably.

Melee: Security guards get involved in the fight as it spills out into the seats

But not Thursday during the game between Nets and Celtics. When Brooklyn Nets' Kris Humphries knocked down Boston Celtics player Kevin Garnet - things on the court turned into a brawl, leaving players bruised and injured.

This is how it started:

The Brooklyn Nets forward was ejected - along with two other players - after a massive melee broke out during the game on Thursday night in Boston.

In the second quarter, Humphries set Celtics forward Kevin Garnet to the floor as he jumped up for a shot.

A split-second later, Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo retaliated by charging Humphries, shoving him into the fans sitting courtside.

Nets forward Gerald Wallace leaped into Humphries' defense by joining the skirmish also.

It took less than a minute for coaches, referees and security guards to separate the players. When it was over, Rondo emerged from the pile-up without his jersey.

Watch Live Union Olimpija vs Real Madrid free Live Streaming | Turkish Airlines Euroleague Basketball - 9 November 2012

Union Olimpija Ljubljana plays against Real Madrid at Stozice Arena in the on going Turkish Airlines basketball Euroleague.

Olimpija is tied for fifth in Group A with a 1-3 mark, while Madrid sits atop with a 3-1 record so far.

Madrid’s position at the top of the group is attributed to the all-round talent at Coach Pablo Laso’s disposal, and that was never more evident than last week when five players broke into double-digits in points against Mapooro Cantu.

Olimpija will require another big game from Baynes, and will rely on him consistently putting up points to keep up with Madrid’s intention of pulling ahead early. Begic and Page will have a tough time with the Reyes-Slaughter combination and will need to contain the duo, but the game is likely to be won by whoever can get their guards performing best.

Sergio Llull of Real needs 4 more three-pointers to reach 100 for his Euroleague career.

NBA: Jimmer Fredette returns to New York to face the Knicks

For the first and only time this season, Glens Falls native Jimmer Fredette returns to play in his home state when the New York Knicks host the Sacramento Kings Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.

Through the first 27 games of his rookie campaign, the 6-foot-2 Fredette has struggled mightily. After leading BYU to its first Sweet 16 appearance in 20 years and garnering the 2011 James Naismith Men’s College Basketball Player of the Year Award, Fredette was selected with the 10th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks and was immediately traded to Sacramento as part of a three-team deal, thus beginning the professional career of the former Glens Falls Indian.

Dirty Basketball: Kevin stomps on Scola's face

We play games for fun and providing entertainment for the viewers, fans and crowds. But sometimes, in the heat of the game things happen which when replayed turn out to be nasty and dirty.
I came across this video on YouTube and have two opinions about it: It was intentional and unintentional. While many believe that Kevin Love is seen stepping on the face of Luis Scola is intentional, a detailed inquiry may turn out to be different.

Yes, Kevin is seen throwing Scola down and then stepping over his face. But had it been intentional, he would have looked back before running to the other end of the court. But in the flow of the game, it looks that it was all intentional.

Watch the video below and decide for yourself - remember I am not defending Kevin in any way, since it could turn out to be intentional too.

WATCH: College Basketball Team Scores Winning Basket By Cheating

[ via Business Insider ] 5 Jan

Louisiana-Lafayette scored the winning bucket on a drive to the basket with just 3.6 seconds left in overtime. There was just one problem. When the teams came back from a timeout just before the winning basket, Louisiana-Lafayette had six players on the floor

There even appears to be some confusion on the part of the players, but they did a good job of just "going with it" and not alerting the officials.

Lakers earn first win of season

[ via LA Times ] 28 Dec

Lakers 96, Jazz 71 (final)
It might have seemed a distinct possibility to jittery Lakers fans after their team's 0-2 start, but there remain more than a handful of NBA teams the quality of the visitors who took the Staples Center court Tuesday night.

A retooled Utah lineup could not hang with the Lakers, even though the home team was completing its first and only back-to-back-to-back situation of the season and the younger, speedier Jazz was presumably fresh while making their season debut.

Armymen dismantle PAO in Moscow battle

[ via RT ] 15 Dec

CSKA Moscow, playing without its leaders Andrey Kirilenko and Andrey Vorontsevich, have beaten Panathinaikos, 91-75, on home soil to secure top spot in their group in the Euroleague and continue their winning run on the continent.

The Armymen did not give the Euroleague champions any chance in front of a sell-out crowd in Moscow.

Serb center Nenad Krstic’s double-double, 17 points and 12 rebounds, and inspirational defense by the Armymen were the keys to their success in arguably one of the best games so far in Europe this season.
