Swans stun Blues with a victory for first time in 87 years

Swansea City last defeated Chelsea in 1925 - almost 87 years from now and have since then been in pursuit to beat their own record by defeating the Blues.

And Wednesday yesterday they did it with a 2-0 victory over the Blues in the Capital One Cup semi-final first leg at the Stamford Bridge.

It must be a heavy blow to Rafael Benitez as since his taking over the Chelsea, he has not been able to take Chelsea out of crises.

Michu struck the first goal in the 39th minute of the first half and despite a 64% possession of ball by the Blues, the Swans continue to push the Blues to the corner and the second goal came almost moments before the final whistle when Graham scored the second goal in the 90th minute - leaving n chance for the Blues to equalize.

And it was Chelsea defender Ivanovic who faulktered on both occasions to allow the Swans to goal.

The win Wednesday puts Swans firmly in command heading into the second leg at the Liberty Stadium on 23 January as they look to end an almost 100-year wait for a first major trophy.

Cardiff City Vs West Ham United Free Live Streaming

West Ham United and Cardiff will have their England npower Championship play-off semi-final first leg, in Cardiff on Thursday, 3 May 2012.

In the last ten matches, the Bluebirds ahve won four matches while six were drawn, which gives them 6th spot, five points ahead of seventh-placed Middlesbrough. While the Hammers have won four out of the last six matches. Hammers are aiming to return to the Premier League. But no team has made it back to the Premier League via the end-of-season shoot-out after being relegated the previous season since 1995.

Well that is a tall goal post the Hammers have set for them - their fans may watch on with their fingers crossed and see if they really can do it. Today's match is important.

Both teams are not new to each other as in their previous history spanned over 92 years, Hammers have won 25 of the 49 matches, while the Bluebirdsf has just mangaed to win nine. And I say this while sharing an old programme of the Bluebirds-Hammers programme issued in 1965 - for the interest of fans from both sides of the fence:
