India's ace batsman Sachin Tendulkar has been sworn in as an MP for upper house of the Indian parliament on Monday. He is the first cricketer and player who would now be active both in cricket and politics.
Although, he is still active as an ace cricketer and batsman in the Indian national team, Sachin Tendulkar says he will continue to serve the country's cricket team more than the politics.
The 39 years old batsman is still in his full form and still hits centuries despite his age. However, he is not playing limited over cricket like T20I as these require stamina and agility which at this age may not be forthcoming.

Recently, I came across one such post wherein Indian cricket player Sehwag in a TV programme on 'Star Plus' at Sahara Indian Sports Awards 4th Dec 2010, is seen boasting with Shahrukh Khan and Sunil Gavaskar on stage about a test match with Pakistan, where Sehwag was a part of sledging with the Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhar.
He told that he was batting near 200 and Shoaib Akhtar was fed up seeing him as quoted "Thak chuka tha Mujhay dekh dekh kar " (He was fed of me looking at me on and on again). So he changed ends to around the wicket and started putting bouncers on Sehwag, after each delivery Akhtar kept on tauting him to hook him " Hook mar kay dekha" ( Show me if you can hook ) constantly for one over.
After realising that he won't stop saying that so he reffering to Sachin Tendulkar , who was at the non-striker's end said to Akhtar " Woh tera baap khara hay non-striker end pay , ussko bol wo mar kay dikhaye gaa"(Your father is at the non striker's end, ask him to play the shot). After one over Shoaib Akhtar put up a bouncer on him (Tendulkar) who put up a six on his bowling. As a reaction Sehwag said " Beta beta hota hay , baap baap hota hay " (Son is son , and father is a father) .
Hence in all this epsiode in front a huge audience he boasted with no hesitation, not knowing that he was saying this biggest lie of this life.
Here is stat from "ESPN Cricinfo" , the most authentic cricket reference source, shows that during Sachin Tendulkar's career, there was no Test match with Pakistan where he ever had hit a six .
If even he was trying to mention the one dayers, in none of the matches Sehwag was near 200 i.e individual score. His highest score till date is 146, so cannot be true about that either. This amply exposes Sehwag for lying about Shoaib Akhtar and making fool of the audience who onstage could not have had access to any records to verify Sehwag's boastful 'achievement.'

India having a torrid time in this first test match between South Africa where their batting ripped through and bowling torn apart all around the ground. But in an almost lost cause there was still something which India could cheer about was, none other than Sachin Tendulkar. Yes- he has become the only batsman in the cricket's history to score 50 Test centuries.

Tendulkar has scored seven centuries and five fifties in year 2010,with one test remaining scheduled on December 26. He till date has amassed more than 14,500 runs with 59 half centuries in his kitty. He scored his first century in 1991-92 tour to Australia.
