Sri Lnka destroys Pakistan's top order 5/48 at Galle Test

After a miserable performance in the ODIs, losing 1-4 to the hosts, Pakistan captain Hafeez, in place of Misbah, vowed to play better in the test matches. But that seemed a far cry.

On the first day, Sri Lanka electing to bat made 300/2 and then on the second day took the total to 472 (their highest total against Pakistan in Sri Lanka).  Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara became the quickest batsman to reach 2000 Test runs against a single team and also became only the second player in Test history to be stranded on 199. Although Saeed Ajmal took five for 146, this could not help his team when they came to bat.

But that wasn't enough. Their bowlers destroyed and broke the top order line of Pakistan and took five wickets for mere 48 runs.

One can foresee the fate of visitors in the remaining days of the first Test match at Galle, Sri Lanka.
