This the fourth time that Serena is facing Sanchez since they first clashed in the French Open 2009. Williams have won all three previous encounters with the Spaniard.

Williams in high spirits, only to lose once at WTA Cincinnati against German Angelique Kerber, who is playing Venus Williams later tonight.

Sanchez has had a bad start this year as she has lost six of her last ten matches - the last one at the hands of M. Barthel at Cincinnati this year.

Needless to mention who is favourite for tonight's encounter.
