The London Olympics gold medalist world no.4 American Serena Williams plays her US Open first round match against fellow American 75th ranked Coco Vandeweghe Tuesday-Wednesday night, tonight.
Serena has played Vandeweghe only once in her lifetime at WTA Standford final this year and beat her 7-5, 6-3.
Serena, after winning the Olympic gold and the Wimbledon title this year is in high spirits and is hot favourite for US open.
Her fellow American Coco Vandeweghe has had a tough time in the last ten matches with a 6-4 win-loss ratio. She recently lost to E. Daniilidou 6-3 7-6(2) in WTA Cincinnati (USA).
The match is scheduled for Tuesday-wdnesday night, that is 28-29 August 2012 at 01:00 GMT at Arhur Ashe Stadium in New York.
