The first semi final of the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2012 will be played between the European Champion Spain and Italy on Friday, the 16th November at Bangkok. The second semifinal will be played between Brazil and Colombia.

In the quarterfinals, Portugal could have edged over Italy had it not been a hatrick by Ricardinho in the first half. It now remains to be seen how Italy fares against the European Champions  Spain Friday afternoon (local time in Bangkok). Spain, which tamed Russia in the quarterfinal and are the hot favourite for Futsal 2012.

And if all goes well in both semis, Spain is most likely to meet Brazil  the defending champion in the finals. Brazil plays the second semi final against neighboring South American Colombia.

The match is scheduled for Friday, the 16th November 2012 at 10:00 GMT at  Indoor Stadium Huamark,  Bangkok.
