So the day finally arrives Sunday today after four years when the two Futsal heavyweights the defending champion Brazil and European champion Spain meet again in the final of the FIFA Futsal World Cup final - the same way the both did in the last Futsal final played in 2008.
Brazil moved into the fianls beating Italy 3-1 (with one own goal by Toro from their opponents to their favour), while the Spaniards beat Ital a stunning defeat 4-1.
It may be added here that since the Futsal World Cup began in 1989, Brazil and Spain are the only teams that have won this indoor football championship.
The temperature is high in both camps with claims to outscore each other. Spain's goalkeeper Juanjo say: ''There's no doubt we have a chance for revenge for the last World Cup, an opportunity for us to set the record straight. We know they're a great side, but we are ready to, at the very least, try and beat them.'' And acknowledging Spain to be a great team too, Brazil's Gabriel said: ''Games against Spain are always tough. The final will be a classic. They have a great team and defend very well. Little details could be the decisive factors.''
Althugh Brazil are the hot favourites for the final today, would the Iberians strike back and avenge their hearbreaking defeat at the hands of the South Americans Sunday today or the four time world champions win the Futsal World Cup for the fifth time?
