South Africa beat India yet again to win ODI series

The century makers: De Kock 106 and Hasim Amla 100

Having thrashed visiting Indian team by 141 runs in the first ODI, the hosts South Africa did not hesitate to seal their victory over the ongoing ODIs by beating India yet again by 134 runs at Dublin on Sunday.

Indians, ho have been playing for long comfortably on their home grounds, got seriosuly exposed when they came to South Africa to play the Africans.

South Africa, batting first, gave a tall chase target of 281 to the Indians with centuries by De Kock 106 and Hasim Amla 100. Shami took 3-48 for India.

A drizzle began to drip in the 16th over and South Africa brought on JP Duminy to speed things up and get to 20 overs. The rain grew heavier in the 19th over and Vernon Philander was racing back to his mark to complete it. With the fifth ball, he had Dhoni push at one just outside off, de Kock dived to his right and took the catch one-handed to end the Indian challenge.



However, coming to bat, the Indians were off guard right from the outset and were all out for 146. By 34 runs, four Indian wickets had fallen. Raina was the only Indian batsman who score 36 - while the rest were all out below 20, with Jadeja's 26. Tsotsobe 4-25 and Steyn 3-17 did not let the Indians to go beyond 146 and the hosts won the match by by 134 runs.

Q de Kock (South Africa) was declared as player of the match.

Indian now plays the 3rd ODI against South Africa at Centurion on Dec 11, 2013.
