Pakistan plays 4th ODI for a Series Win against Sri Lanka at Abu Dhabi | Watch Free Live Streaming - 25 December

Pakistan, though in a commanding position of 2-1 in a five ODIs series, would very much like to win today's 4th ODI at Abu Dhabi against Sri Lanka to capture the series.

Pakistan has already came winning the ODI series against the South Africans recently and seem in high spirits  If their batsmen play responsible again at Abu Dhabi during their 4th ODI, their chances seem quite bright. The onus of winning the series would greatly lie on Hafeez, who scored mighty 140 in the 3rd ODI, though was dropped at 26. Sharjeel, Shehzad, Akmal and Afridi too need to play responsibly.

As for bowling, Umer Gul, who returned to Pakistan team after a nine-months absence due to injury, mad his presence felt right away as he claimed the first two and the last wicket of the match and his 3/19  was instrumental in destabilising the Islanders.

Junaid, Ajmal and Afridi are doing just superb - however, it seems that Bilawal Bhatti is a weak link the Pakistan attack, and there may be a case for bringing Anwar Ali in.

Pakistan's Misbah has already broken Kohli's record - If he scores 60 more runs in the next two matches, he will have had a more prolific ODI year than any batsman has managed since 2007, and the best aggregate in a non-World Cup year since 2000.

As for the Lankans, they seem to have learned some valuable lessons in the series. In a brave new ODI world where 300 is the old 250 and the mandatory Powerplay induces caution, they cannot hope to restrict the opposition without taking wickets.

Probable Opposing Teams:
Pakistan squad
1 Ahmed Shehzad, 2 Sharjeel Khan, 3 Mohammad Hafeez, 4 Sohaib Maqsood, 5 Misbah-ul- Haq (capt), 6 Umar Akmal, 7 Shahid Afridi, 8 Bilawal Bhatti/ Anwar Ali, 9 Umar Gul, 10. Saeed Ajmal, 11. Junaid Khan

Sri Lanka squad
1 Tillakaratne Dilshan, 2 Kusal Perera 3 Kumar Sangakkara (wk), 4 Dinesh Chandimal, 5. Angelo Mathews (capt), 6. Dimuth Karunaratne/Ashan Priyanjan/Kithuruwan Vithanage, 7. Thisara Perera 8. Seekkuge Prasanna, 9 Nuwan Kulasekara, 10. Sachithra Senanayake, 11. Lasith Malinga

The match is scheduled for Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at  Abu Dhabi at 1500 local (1100 GMT)

Sri Lanka level 5-ODI series 1-1 against Pakistan at Dubai

Mathews 47 made the winning difference for Sri Lanka [Getty Images]

The second ODI between Pakistan and Sri Lanka at Dubai was almost the repetition of first ODI played at Sharjha - the end of both the matches was almost similar. But this time luck did not run out for the Islanders who won the match in the last over by two wickets with two balls remaining.

Pakistan batting first gave a handsome target of 284 - though it could have been more than 300. Ahmed Shehzad scored an impressive 124 followed by 59 by Misbah and 32 and 30 by Hafeez and Afridi respectively. Hafeez got unlucky for his run out (Karunaratne/†Sangakkara). Ahmed Shehzad stood on the crease till the end when he was lbw by Kulasekara at the total score of 233. Pakistan made 284 for four in 50 overs.

Coming to bat, the Islanders played the same way as they did in the first ODI and like last time, they had come to a crucial score of 237 with seven wickets down. But this time it was Mathews who played responsibly and made 47 runs and was the last man out at the score of 281. However, for Karunaratne and Senanayake, it was not difficult to add another six runs to win the match by two wickets with a total of 287 and two balls remaining.

Junaid was the man who put the Lankans under pressure and took 3/52, followed by Afridi who took 2/46. However it was Afridi who took two important wickets of Mathews (47) and Kulasekara (32).

Pakistan's Sohail Tanvir did not perform well and gave away 30 runs in 2 overs. Although Afridi, Ajmal and Junaid did bowl well,  bowling in later overs was not good as 87 runs were given away in last 9.4 overs.

Mathews was obviously the player of the match.

For the 3rd ODI, Pakistan and Sri Lanka go back to Sharjah tomorrow Dec 22, 2013.

Sri Lanka vs Pakistan: 2nd ODI | Watch Free Live Streaming - 20 December

After a sensational ending of the first ODI at Sharjha which Pakistan won by 11 runs, both Pakistan and Sri Lanka play the second of the five ODI series at Dubai International Cricket Stadium Friday afternoon today.

It seemed as if the Pakistani batsmen have started to gain confidence as was evident from their performance in the first ODI. Hafeez showed his immense form by scoring 122, while ODI débutante Sharjeel and Sohaib Maqsood showed their muscles.

As for bowling, Pakistan's bowlers will have to aim to be less wayward in the second match, after having allowed indiscipline to creep in towards the later stages of Sri Lanka's innings. Their fielding too, slipped from poor to abysmal in the last hour, much to the chagrin of Misbah-ul-Haq who had warned against exactly that kind of complacency before the match. They know now that Sri Lanka are among the more dangerous teams to ease off on.

The Islanders on the other side should not have any problems as even Seekkuge Prasanna and Sachithra Senanayake hit the highest eighth-wicket stand ever in Sharjah, who chased a target which many thought was not possible to meet.

Opposing Teams:
Pakistan squad
Misbah-ul-Haq*, Abdur Rehman, Ahmed Shehzad, Anwar Ali, Asad Shafiq, Bilawal Bhatti, Haris Sohail, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Hafeez, Saeed Ajmal, Shahid Afridi, Sharjeel Khan, Sohaib Maqsood, Sohail Tanvir, Umar Akmal†

Sri Lanka squad
AD Mathews*, LD Chandimal, TM Dilshan, FDM Karunaratne, KMDN Kulasekara, RAS Lakmal, SL Malinga, BAW Mendis, MDKJ Perera†, NLTC Perera, S Prasanna, SMA Priyanjan, KC Sangakkara†, SMSM Senanayake, HDRL Thirimanne, KDK Vithanage

Umpires Ahsan Raza and RK Illingworth

The match is scheduled for Friday, December 20, 2013 at  Dubai International Cricket Stadium at 1500 local (1100 GMT)

Pakistan wins 2nd ODI against West Indies by 11 Runs - and wins series 2-0

Pakistan's players rejoice wicket by Sohail Tanvir

It was a great day for Pakistan at  Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown, St Vincent when it beat the hosts West Indies by 11 runs in the second T20I and the last match before the visitors return home having won both the ODI and T20I series with extraordinary performance.

The victory in the second T20I brings Pakistan No. 2 - behind Sri Lanka - in the ICC rankings for T20I teams.

The outstanding perofrmance was mainly attributed to Pakistan's bowlers who restricted the hosts in all matches in achieving given targets.

Although in the second at Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown, St Vincent, Pakistan which won the toss and elected to bat was restricted to mere 135 for seven in 20 overs by the West Indian bowlers, specially Narine (3/26) and Badree (2/16), the hosts found it difficult to achieve the target in the face of superb bowling by the visitors.

Saeed Ajmal, Sohail Tanvir and débutante Zulfiquar Babar each bagged 2 wickets and made the hosts pack for mere 129/9 - 11 runs short of the target.

Umer Akmal was declared player of the match for 46 not out

Umar Akmal (Pakistan) was declared as the player of the match, while Zulfiqar Babar (Pakistan) was declared the player of the series.

While triumphant Pakistan return home, for West Indies, it was a disappointing home season. They beat Zimbabwe a few months ago, but did not make the tri-series final (India and Sri Lanka did) and then suffered two series defeats against Pakistan.

West Indies Take Revenge of First ODI Humiiliation: Beat Pakistan in 2nd ODI by 37 Runs

DM Bravo (left) and Jamshed (right): Top scorers of the match

The humiliation at the hands of visiting Pakistan cricket team in the first ODI  at Providence Stadium, Guyana was enough for the hosts West Indians, as the rebounded and beat Pakistan in the second ODI by 37 runs at the same venue yesterday.

In fact Pakistan did the same mistake of winning the toss and electing to field as did the West Indians in the first ODI and this cost them dearly.

But this time, more than batsmen, it was the sloppy Pakistani bowlers who gave away 38 ( 21 wides ) extra runs to the West Indians to have an upper edge over them.

Pakistani's bowlers this time failed to curtail the hosts and let them score 232 for eight in 50 overs. Gayle however was dismantled for one by Irfan - but then others stood to ground and added handsomely - Charles (31), DM Braveo (54), LMP Brave (43).  Saeed Ajmal took 2/45 and Afridi2/19.

Coming to bat, Pakistan did start comfortably but the top order batsmen except for Jamshed (54) and Akmal (50) failed to leave a mark. Afridi who roared in the first ODI both as batsman and bowler was home for five. And the entire team was back to pavilion for 195. Narine was the most successful bowler for his 4/29, who sent back Hafeez, Afridi, Saeed Ajmal and Riaz.

SP Narine (West Indies) was declared player of the match for his superb 4/29.

The 3rd ODI between West Indies v Pakistan will be played on 19th July at Gros Islet.

Pakistan which gave a target of 224 to the hosts, sent them packing for mere 98 in 41 overs.

So that was the first ODI - would Pakistan team show a repeat performance today sine the venue is the same?

Pakistan's Irfan and Misbah equalize ODI series 1-1

The Centurion ODI last night between visiting Pakistan cricket team and hosts South Africa was a thriller right from start to end. And the mood set by Pakistani fast bowler Irfan culminated in superb performance by Misbah to win the second ODI by six wickets with 28 balls remaining.

Pakistan's Irfan 's 4/33 (left) and Misbah's 57 (right) won the 2nd ODI at Centurion

Winning the toss, South Africa chose to bat. But it wasn't a day for the hosts like the previous ODI as Pakistan's seven footer pace bowler Irfan struck one after the other and sent back four South Africans back to pavilion for 33 runs. Amla was first to crumble at 17, while Ingram was sent back for a duck. De Villiers was back too with four while Plessis  was packed up for 17. Irfan extracted significant bounce from the Centurion surface in an extended seven-over spell.

It was only Behardien (58) and Peterson (44) which stood on the crease and supported their crumbling team and were instrumental in reaching a score of 191. Pakistan's Junaid, Saeed Ajmal and Hafeez bagged two wickets each.

Coming to bat, Pakistan's batsmen this time 'played' responsibly and did not show any signs of slackness which they normally do and supported the efforts of the bowlers by batting well. Although opener Nasir was back with just 10 runs, while Hafeez scored 31 and Younis added 32. However, it was 57 by Misbah and 35 by Shoaib Malik which finally won over the match for Pakistan with 6 wickets and 28 balls remaining.

Irfan, which produced his career best 4/33 was rightly declared the player of the match.

Pakistan now plays its 3rd ODI at Johannesburg on March 17th.

New Zealand v England: 2nd ODI - Watch Live Free Streaming | 20 February

The visiting English cricket team comes to Napier,  New Zealand city with a seaport, located in Hawke's Bay on the eastern coast of the North Island, to play their second ODI against the hosts New Zealand on Wednesday afternoon at the McLean Park.

Having lost their first ODI to the hosts,  England are again on the verge of a series defeat in New Zealand despite bringing probably their best ODI side since 1992 - the last time they won a series there.

However, England pace bowler Chris Woakes says his team will try to capitalize on New Zealand's injury woes in the second ODI.

But the hosts seem to be in quite a shape for a victory and a consecutive ODI series win - something that needs to be materialized tomorrow.

The likely opposing teams for the match are:
New Zealand:
TA Boult, GD Elliott, AM Ellis, JEC Franklin, MJ Guptill, BB McCullum*†, NL McCullum, KD Mills, C Munro, HD Rutherford, TG Southee, LRPL Taylor, BJ Watling, KS Williamson

Pakistan thrashes India in the 2nd ODI - and win the ODI series

The 2nd ODI at Kolkata will hurt India for long time to come.

The series winners for Pakistan

Before the match it was predicted that the wicket will assist the batsmen and the side playing first will be able to dominate. And having won the toss, Indians decided to FIELD. And paid for it dearly.

Pakistan when asked to bat, found it extremely comfortable to score and Nasir Jamshed scored a century (106) and Hafeez scored an impressive 76. However, no other batsman could add substantially except Shoaib Malik's 24. Sharma and Jadeja took three wickets each. Thus Pakistan gave a towering target of 251 to the Indians to chase.

-->

And as predicted the wicket did not support the Indian batsmen, who crumbled one after the other without scoring much. Gambhir was gone on 11, while Sehwag left at 31. Kohli and Yuvraj left the field under ten. While Raena added 13. It was only Dhoni standing alone, taking singles with a fear of not packing up himself and trying to support the tailenders. But for how long.

And with the ouster of Sharma for 2 by Junaid, India loses the 2nd ODI against Pakistan by 85 runs.  Junaid and Saeed Ajmal took three wickets each, while Umer Gul took two. This is after three years that Pakistan has bowled out the entire Indian team in an ODI. Pakistan added to their record of being the only side, other than Australia, to inflict home ODI series defeats on India in the previous ten years. Besides, They also continued their impressive record at Eden Gardens, and have now won all their four ODIs at the ground.

Although Nasir deserved to be the man of the match in the first ODI too, but he very deservedly won the acclaim and honour this time for his superb 106.

Nasir Jamshed has shown much promise as a mature batsman, while Junaid has emerged as a young bowler, capable of supporting his team along with Umer Gul and Saeed Ajmal.

Well played Dhoni once again to save off his team from collapse - Congratulations Pakistan.

India vs Pakistan: Watch Live Free Streaming | 2nd ODI - Kolkata 3 January 2013

After a six wickets win over the hosts India, the visiting Pakistan cricket team meets India in the 2nd ODI at Eden Gardens, Kolkata Thursday morning.

In the first ODI had it not been Dhoni's century, the devastation played by Pakistani swinger Junaid would have sent back the entire Indian team well under 100.

Kolkata is not a bowler friendly wicket and any side choosing to bat first would carry the day. But this is also a fact that of the three matches played at Kolkata, Pakistan has beaten India in all three.

Pakistan has a good batting and bowling line, with Nasir Jamshed, Hafeez, Younis Khan, Misbah and Shoaib Malik and Junaid, Umar Gul, Ajmal and the 7 ft 1 inches tall Irafan - the entire lineup should worry India at Kolkata when they meet again for the second ODI.

As for hosts India, with their last lost a bilateral series to Pakistan in 2005, at home in the background, they will need to play far better cricket than they did in Chennai to prevent the visitors from achieving their 11th series win over them.

The possible oppsoing squads for the second ODI at Kolkata are:
India: 1 Gautam Gambhir, 2 Virender Sehwag, 3 Virat Kohli, 4 Yuvraj Singh, 5 Rohit Sharma/Ajinkya Rahane, 6 Suresh Raina, 7 MS Dhoni (capt and wk), 8 R Ashwin, 9 Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 10 Ishant Sharma, 11 Ashok Dinda.

Pakistan: 1 Mohammad Hafeez, 2 Nasir Jamshed, 3 Azhar Ali, 4 Younis Khan, 5 Misbah-ul-Haq (capt), 6 Shoaib Malik, 7 Kamran Akmal (wk), 8 Junaid Khan, 9 Umar Gul, 10 Saeed Ajmal, 11 Mohammad Irfan.

The 2nd ODI is scheduled for Thursday, 3 January 2013 at 12:00 local time (06:30 GMT) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Australia vs Pakistan: 2nd ODI - Watch Live Free Streaming from Abu Dhabi | 31 August

Aussies and Pakistan cricket teams have moved from Sharjah to Abu Dhabi after playing their first ODI to come face to face at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi for their second ODI being played Friday today.
