First Sochi Gold - Valentine Gift for Britain

Britain which is almost at the bottom of the medal table with a bronze for almost ten days since the Sochi Winter Olympics started, was delighted to win it its first gold as a Valentine gift.

It is Lizzy Yarnold who won the nation's first Sochi gold medal with brilliant display in the skeleton event. She beat American Noelle Pikus-Pace by almost a second to take the win.

It is Britain's second consecutive gold in the skeleton after Amy Williams won at the 2010 Vancouver Games.

Upon her victory, Yarnold was handed a Valentine's card by boyfriend and coach James Roach.
