6th ranked American 31 years old Serena Williams plays her second round match against 98th ranked left handed Hungarian Melinda Czink on the Centre Court Thursday afternoon. In fact hers is the first match of the day at the Centre Court, followed by that of Andy Murray/Karlovic and Nadal/Rosol.

Serena who is left alone after ouster of her sister Venus in the very first round, has played the Hungarian twice before at Stanford (2009) and US Open (2009), winning both the times.

Serena has won eight of her last ten matchs, losing two on clay at Rome and French Open recently. At Rome she had retired even before the match agianst Chinese Na Li due to lower back pain.

Czink has lost three of her last ten matches, one on clay (french Open) and two on grass at Nottingham and Birmingham. She moved to the second round beating J. Larsson 6-0 6-2.

Serena being favourite, would like to move, and win too.

The match is scheduled for Thursday, 28 June 2012 at 12:00 GMT on Centre Court.
