Porsche Tennis Grand Prix Stuttgart: Kvitova vs Sharapova - Live Online

World Number Two Russian Maria Sharapova faces 3rd ranked Czech Petra Kvitova at the second semi final of the WTA Stuttgart Saturday.

Maria Sharapova, having lost the first set beat the US Open winner Australian Sam Stosur in a three set marathon quarterfinal match 6-7, 7-5 and 7-5. Sharapova's opponent today Petra Kvitova beat A Kerber in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 in the other quarterfinal Friday.

Both Kvitova and Sharapova have played each other four times with a 2-2 win by each. Sharapova last overcame Kvitova in the australian Open earlier this year 6-2, 3-6 and 6-4, while Kvitova last had an edge over Sharapova in Tokoyo in 2011 when Sharapova retired in the first set at 4-3.

The second semi final between the  Kvitova  and Sharapova at Stuttgart is scheduled fr Saturday 28 April 2012 at 16:30 GMT.

Stosur faces Sharapova in Stuttgart quarters: Watch Free Live Stream

In the qurterfianls of the WTA Stuttgart Friday, the US Open winner Stosur to face Sharapova in Stuttgart quarters  Samantha Stosur faces world number two Russian Maria Sharapova.

Australian fifth seeded Samantha Stosur beat the defending champion Julia Goerges 6-2, 2-6, 6-3.

Both Stosur and Sharapova are not new to each other as they have met at least ten times since 2004. The Russian however has a tremendous edge of 9-1 wins over the Australian. Stosur only one defeated Sharapova in WTA Istanbul 6-1, 7-5 in 2011.

Both players have lost matches each in the last ten matches played in 2012. For Sharapova, it was S Williams both times who beat her in WTA Charleston and WTA Miami.

We wait and see who emerges as victor as Sharapova seems hot favourite for having an edge over aging Stosur, who is three years elder to Sharapova.

Alizé Cornet - Maria Sharapova: WTA Stuttgart Porsche Tennis Grand Prix - Live Streaming

Former World Number One Russian Maria Sharapova is all set to take on French Alize Cornet in the 2012 Porsche Grand Prix second round on Wednesday 25th April, being played here on indoor clay courts at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart.

Three-time Grand Slam champion Russian ranked second after Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka has not won any title this year and is eyeing the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix to be her first.

Sharapova has never played Cornet before. The Russian fairy is hot favourite to win the second round. However, it may be added that it is her first red clay event and she  has never been the best of movers on the red dirt and is one of the few players who doesn't slide on clay.The mere fact that she has not played on clay since French Open 2011 puts her on equal odds as her opponenet this afternoon, who has already played and won four matches in the qualifying rounds.

The match is scheduled for Wednesday, 25 April 2012 at 16:30 GMT
