In the third round of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, World No.1 Serbian Norvak Djokovic meets 15th ranked Juan Monaco of Argentina Thursday morning today.

Djokovic opened his title defence at the ATP on Tuesday evening with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Australia’s Bernard Tomic. Djokovic seems all set to bounce back from the quarter-final defeat he suffered last week at the hands of countryman Janko Tipsarevic in Madrid.
Both Djokovic and Monaco have met five times before since 2005 Wimbledon and the Serb has 5-0 winning edge over the Argentinian.
Djokovic has lost twice in the last ten matches he played in 2012, icluding defeats at the hands of countryman Janko Tipsarevic in Madrid and Nadal at Monte Carlo. Monaco too had been defeated twice in the last ten matched of 2012. He retired while playing Haase at Monte carlo when it was one set all and the third set was in progress with Haase winning 3-2.
