Nadal Reaches seventh Rome Masters Final

In the first semi final of the day, World No.3 Spaniard Rafael Nadal beat fellow countryman David Ferrero 7-6(8/6), and 6-0 Saturday to reach his seventh Rome Masters fianl that gets played Sunday, 20 May 2012.

At the time of writing the post, the second semi final between World no.1 and the defending champion Serbian Novak Djokovic and World no.2 Swiss Roger Federer is in progress with the Serb leading the first set 4-2.

Nadal, winner of the Foro Italico trophy in five of seven appearances in the Italian capital, also won a 39th straight clay court semi-final and has not lost at the final-four stage on the surface since 2003.


It is the thrid time that Ferrero has been beaten by Nadal in Rome.

Let us wait now of the result of the second final and see whether Djokovic gets to defend his title tomorrow or it is the Swiss who confront the Spaniard Sunday 20 May 2012.
