Ferrer has played all of his last ten matches on clay and won all but two. Interestingly, he lost both his matches to fellow country man seven times Roland Garros winner Rafael Nadal at Rome and recently at French Open.
Canadian Duclos has lost four of his last ten matches, but has won his last three matches at ATP 's Hertogenbosch. Befoe playing Ferrer today, he beat N. Desein 7-6(8) 6-4.
Both players have never layed before - but keeping in view their standing and rating, one can always make a gues as to the predicted winner.
