The second match on the Centre court between Roland Garros winner and world no.1 Russian Maria Sharapova and Australian Anastasia Rodionova ended in Sharapova's favour 6-2, 6-3.
On No.1 Court matche between world no.3 Swiss Roger Federer and Albert Ramos of Spain is in progress, with Federer in control 6-1,6-1, 2-0.
On No.1 Court, Serbian Janko Tipsarevic beat Argentinian David Nalbandian 6-4 7-6(4) 6-2.
On No.2 Court, world no.3 Polish Agnieszka Radwanska defeated Slovakian Magdalena Rybarikova
6-3, 6-3.
And an upset of the day was defeat of American Venus Williams at the hand of Russian Elena Vesnina 6-1, 6-3. With this one of the Williams sisters is out of the tournament and let us see what Serena does in her match.
On No.3 Court, 5th ranked Australian Samantha Stosur defeated Spaniard Carla Suarez Navarro 6-1,
6-3.
On No. 12 Court, 11th ranked Chinese Na Li defeated kazakhistan's Ksenia Pervak 6-3, 6-1.
On No.17 Court, 18th ranked French Richard Gasquet defeated German Tobias Kamke 6-2, 6-2,6-2.
