The Australian Open, that commenced 14th January, is now well under its Day-2 and most of the First Round matches have been decided.

As can be seen from above results that all has gone well on Day-2 and all top ranking players have joined Djokovic, Sharapova and Venus Williams in the second round.
However, there seems one set back wherein Sara Errani, the 7th ranked Italian was defeated by 33rd ranked Spanish Carla Suarez Navarro. Both ladies had played each other four time before, and Errani had a winning edge of 3-1 over Carla Suarez Navarro. But Errani had not been in her form lately as she lost FIVE of her last nine matches, including her last defeat at Sydney at the hands of unseeded D. Cibulkova 6-2 6-1.
