Sharapova Wins Roland Garros Women Single Final

A jubilant Sharapova fro completeing her career Grand Slam and becoming 10th women player to hold the honour
World No.2 Russian Maria Sharapova became the 10th women ever to hold all four major titles by beating Italian Sara Errani 6-3, 6-2 at Roland Garros Saturday evening on Court Philippe Chatrier.


Although Sharapova looked nervous and made many errors and double faults i the first set, but managed to win 6-3.

In the second set, Errani looked resilient and did not seem to let the Russian an easy sail towards the Roland Garros women single title. But a determined Sharapova overcame Errani's aggression and finally won over the second set 6-2.

For Italian Sara Errani, it was really heartbreaking for coming so close to win her first Grand Slam title.

Now as the Russian lifts the trophy, all eyes are now set on Sunday's men's single final between Djokovic and Nadal, which is another history making match  - either can make history. Let us see who!!
