Guinness World Records' most unusual sporting champions

We normally see sports events that happen around us normally and most usually. There is excitement, uproar and fingers crossed when watching such 'normal' sports events, like for instance the Spain vs Italy Euro 2012 football final or Nadal and Sharapova crashing out unceremonially from the on going Wimbledon tennis championship.

But what about those bonking sports vents that are unusual, not seen or even heard by a majority of sports lovers, but found in the Guinness World Records?

There are sportsmen and athelets that do the undoables and create ripples into the sports history. some of such events I cae across at Daily Mail and thought of sharing with my viewers:

Veronica Torr who recorded the Fastest 100 Metre Hurdles Wearing Swim Fins - in 18.52 seconds - and Kenichi Ito, from Japan, who ran the Fastest 100m Running on All Fours in 18.58 seconds.

Meet Vittorio Innocente, who became the deepest cycling underwater world record holder in 2008.

Everyone knows that Jamaica’s Usain Bolt is the fastest man on two legs, covering 100m in 9.58 seconds, but how would he cope on all fours?  In November 2008 Japan’s Kenichi Ito recorded the Fastest 100m on All Fours in an astonishing 18.58 seconds; just 9 seconds longer than Bolt.

Weight lifters can take inspiration from 64-year-old John Evans who holds the 14-year record for the Heaviest Car Balanced on the Head. Back in May 1999 John from Derbyshire carried a Mini Cooper, weighing 159.6kg - 352lb - upon his head for over half a minute.
