World no.3 American Serena Williams also jumps into the Hisense Arena Tuesday morning in her quest to win the Australian Open Grand Slam. She plays her first round match against 110th ranked Romanian Edina Gallovits.

Serena, who is virtually the world number 1 as she dominated the 2012 and there was no event that she missed and bagged all major events after she recovered from her back injury.

Serena won the Wimbledon 2012 title for the fifth time, beside winning the US Open and WTA Istanbul. And she has won all of her last ten matches and is right on the course to the Australian Open title.

Her match with the Romanian would be just a formality as the latter has lost four of her ten matches and had two losses recently in a row at Florence and Shenzhen  Edina Gallovits only once came across Serena at Miami in 2008 when she was beaten 6-1 6-2 by Serena in the second round.

The Match between Serena and Gallovits is scheduled for Tuesday, 15 January 2013 at 01:30 GMT at the Hisense Arena.
