Nadal to defend Monte Carlo title against Djokovic in the Final Sunday

Djokovic celebrates his win over Fognini in Monte Carlo Semis Today

As predicted, the outcome of the two semis was but obvious - that took Nadal and Djokovic to the final of the Monte Carlo.

In the first semi final, Spaniard Rafael Nadal took control of French Tsonga right from the start, taking the 6-3. However, Tsonga rebounded in the second set and made it difficult for Rafa to clinch the set much too easily. It was only after a determined effort by Tsonga that Rafa could win the second set 7-6(3)and the match 6-3, 7-6(3).

In the second set, it was Djokovic dominating all through over Fognini and won the match 6-2, 6-1. In the second set, Fognini seemed much in a hurry to call off the shots as he lost most of the points without any determined effort.

World no.1 Djokovic now faces the defending champion Nadal in the final Sunday tomorrow. Nadal is playing for his 9th consecutive title at Monte Carlo tomorrow. Would the Serbian let him do so?

See the match tomorrow.
