Pakistan on Brink of Elimination at ICC Champions Trophy: South Africa beat Pakistan in a low scoring Match

Pakistan lost to South Africa by 67 runs in a low scoring match in the fifth ODI of the on going ICC Champions Trophy at Edgbaston.

South Africa, which lost its first match to India, chose to bat after winning the toss and scored 234 for 9. Hashim Amla scored impressive 81.

Coming to bat, Pakistan could only muster 167 restricted by superb West Indies bowling in just 45 overs. Morris took two wickets on his one-day international debut and Ryan McLaren a career-best four for 19.

The utter dismal performance puts Pakistan to the brink of Champions Trophy elimination right in the initial matches of the group stage.

Pakistan after two matches has not scored even a single point and is at the bottom of Group B with a duck with a R/R of -1.11. All other three teams of the group have two points each, with West Indians leading with a R/R of +0.83
