But the fate of men's singles category is being decided Saturday today when world no.1 Djokovic plays against Wawrinka - Wawrinka who knocked out Britain's Andy Murray in the quarters.
In the second semi final tonight, world no.2 Rafael Nadal meets 9th ranked French Richard Gasquet on the Arthur Ashe blue court.
This will be the 12th time that the both players will be coming across the net - with Nadal having a winning edge of 10-1 against his French opponent. However, their last encounter was two years ago when the met at the Rubber stage of Davis Cup in 2011.
Nadal is in a firm grip over his form and has done wonderfully this year - winning all his last ten matches. His latest win was at Cincinnati when he beat Isner 7-6(8) 7-6(3). While Gasquet has lost three matches at Umaq, Montreal and Cincinnati. At Cincinnati, Isner beat Gasquet 7-6(6) 6-2, after which he lost to Nadal.
The match is scheduled for September 7, 2013 at 18:50 GMT at the Arthur Ashe stadium.
