Nigeria v Burkina Faso - AFCON Final | Free Streaming Live from FNB Stadium Johannesburg - 10 February

The moment has finally come after three weeks of football to witness the 29th final of the Africa Cup of Nations football live from the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa on Sunday 10th February 2013.

Much against the expectations when a majority predicted Ghana taking on Nigeria, the NOW favourites Nigeria take on Burkina Faso in the final of the African Cup of Nations in Johannesburg.

It is Nigeria's first time in more than a decade to make it to the Afcon final when the4y last lost to Cameroon in 2000 - however, they have the honour of having won the Afcon title twice in 1980 and 1994.

As for Burkina Faso, they are the clear underdogs for Sunday's game which marks their first appearance in a final. So far, their best in the tournament was reaching the semi-finals in 1998 when they were tournament hosts.

Burkaina Faso is lucky to have Pitroipa cleared of the ban and allowed to play in the final. Referee Slim Jdidi admitted that he mistakenly issued the winger with a second yellow card for simulation in the semi-final against Ghana.

So who lifts the Afcon trophy? Well Nigeria remains the hot favourite - but sometimes underdogs play better when at odds and surprise everyone. Don'y to you think so?

The final of the Africa Cup of Nations 2013 is scheduled for Sunday, 10 February at  18:00 GMT at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Burkina Faso appeal Pitroipa ban

Burkina Faso really stunned Ghana when they won the semi final on penalties to qualify for the final of Africa Cup of Nations - being played on 10th February between Nigeria and Burkina Faso.

Burkina Faso winger Jonathan Pitroipa

However, the win over Ghana was not without a serious blow to the Burkina Faso team as its winger Jonathan winger Jonathan Pitroipa was banned on the referee's semi final match report.

While Burkina Faso has appealed against the ban and is hopeful of fielding winger Jonathan Pitroipa in the final against Nigeria, it is learn that The organizing committee does not have the power to change the referee's decision unless he admits he made a mistake in his official report.

Jonathan Pitroipa was shown a second yellow card in the final minutes of extra-time against Ghana, earning a caution for simulation even though John Boye appeared to trip the Burkinabe inside his own area.

The France-based Rennes star will learn his fate on Friday, when Caf will also determine the the suspension period for the Tunisian Jdidi.
