Tom Hawk's Skateboarding Practice Photo with Daughter Stirs Controversy

Tom Hawk, who is one of the most renowned skateboarder ever, has recently come under lot of anger by his Twitter followers for publishing a skateboarding practice photo with his four years old daughter.

There is nothing wrong with the photograph, but watching closely one finds neither wearing protective helmets that could prove dangerous for high-crashing sports like skateboarding.

While posting the photo, Hawk wrote:
"Updated frontside fling photo courtesy of @msk8blake. She is learning to skate on her own, so we might not be doing this much longer."

Within no time, a lot of Hawk's three million followers expressed their anger for endangering both his and his daughter's life.

However, Hawk did not respond to any followers individually, but he did post another tweet with a message for all those who thought what he was doing was dangerous.

Hawk's response was as follows: "...For those that say I endanger my child: it's more likely that you will fall while walking on the sidewalk than I will while skating with my daughter."

You've got to love Hawk's confidence, but his daughter is only 4. Maybe she could at least wear knee and elbow pads.

Soccer star Kaka becomes first athlete to pass 10 million followers on Twitter

The 30 year old Real Madrid mid-fielder Kaka has become the first athlete to pass 10 million followers on Twitter.

Close behind him in the most-followed category is Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, who recently broke the nine million barrier. Although he’s nowhere close to Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, who each have more than 20 million followers, but it’s not a bad haul for Kaka whose career appears to be diminishing after he made himself a global icon in a golden six-year spell at AC Milan in Italy.
In early 2009, he turned down a move to English club Manchester City that would have earned him a reported world-record salary of 500,000 pounds (800,000 dollars) a week.

Kaka to Be World’s First Athlete with 10 Million Twitter Followers

Brazilian soccer star Kaka is on the verge of becoming the world’s first athlete to amass 10 million followers on Twitter.

The midfielder, who plays for Spain’s Real Madrid club team, was about 30,000 followers short of the milestone as of late Monday afternoon. If Kaka maintains his recent pace, his @KAKA account should hit eight figures within the next day or so. He added more than 35,000 followers in a single day twice during the past week, according to the stats site TwitterCounter.com.

While Kaka rules the Twittersphere of sports, he’s just 17th on the overall list of most-followed tweeters. Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber — the network’s first and second-most popular users — count more than 20 million followers apiece.
