World No. 3 Roger Federer is all set to win his third Madrid title, as he takes world No. 7 Tomas Berdych to the much controversial blue clay court Sunday afternoon today.

7th ranked Czech Tomas Berdych moved into the ATP Madrid final after beating 10th seed Juan Martin Del Potro 7-6(5), 7-6(6). The 26-year-old Czech will attempt to win his 8th ATP World Tour title on Sunday.
This will be the 15th encounter of Federer and Berdych since 2004 with Federer edging over the Czech 11-3. Federer last won over Berdych in ATP Paris 2011 6-4, 6-3, while Berdych won over Federer the same year at ATP Cincinnati 6-2, 7-6(3).
Should the Swiss capture 74th his career championship title, he will overtake Rafael Nadal for the world No. 2 ranking.
Seeing the Djokovic and Nadal surprised defeats, nothing much can be said of today's final, though Federer remains the hot favourite.
The ATP Madrid men's single final is scheduled for Sunday, 13 May May 2012 at 14:30 GMT
