Two matches were played on the second day of the ATP World Tour Finals at London's O2 Arena Tuesday - but more than the normal outcome of the matches, it was the day of making history by none other than the Swiss Roger Federer.
Beating world no.9 Serbian Janko Tipsarevic 6-3, 6-1 in the Group B match at London's O2 Arena on Tuesday, Swiss Roger Federer set into motion his bid for a seventh ATP Tour Finals title.
The win Tuesday was Federer's 40th win in his 11 appearances at the World Tour Finals - breaking the previous record of 39 wins held by legendary Ivan Lendl.
The second match of Group B saw a resilient Juan Martin Del Potro who having lost the first set to David Ferrer 3-6, rebounding and winning the second set 6-3. However, he then lost control over his win and went on to lose the match when he gave in the third set 4-6 to Ferrer.
