The day-1 of the ATP World Tour Finals ended with results as expected and Djokovic and Murray winning their opening matches of Group A without much difficulty.
Federer first met Tipsarevic in the 2006 Davis Cup match and has since met Tipsarevic in four more matches - each time finding no difficulty in over powering the Serbian.
Bu one should not be over confident as we have recently seen many a stunning upsets by players way behind the top seeded players charging and winning.
While Federer has lost tow of his last ten matches (against Murray at Shanghai and Del Potro at Basel), Tipsarevic has lost many matches - five if I count. He recently lost to Janowicz at Paris Masters and has joined the World Tour Finals in the absence of knee-injured Nadal.
Would Tipsarevic be able to take advantage of the opportunity given to him by Nadal's absence and make headlines?
