Since then both the players have faced each other sixteen times with Federer winning over the Argentinian thirteen times. However, Del Potro recently over powered Federer at Basel finals 6-4 6-7(5) 7-6(3) to rob from Federer his sixth Basel win.

The latest win against Federer puts Del Potro in a rather strong position and brighten up his prospects for a place in the semis, provided Federer allows him to do that.

Whether Tsonga can surprise Murray today, is something that is heavily at odds - but anything can happen, though least likely.

Tomas Berdych, who lost his opening match against against Murray, beat Tsonga 7-5, 3-6, 6-1 to face Djokovic Friday today. It would be the utmost endeavour of Berdych to ditch Djokovic to end up in the last four.

Both Djokovic and Berdych have met eleven times before today's encounter since they forst met at Bangkok in 2008 and Berdych has had only one winner at Wimbledon in 2010. Although Djokovic is favourite for to reach the finals, it remains to be seen whether Berdych can upset the Serbian today or not.

Both Federer and Ferrer have met fourteen times before since they first met at Vienna in 2003 - and Federer won all fourteen matches. But that should not give over confidence to former world no.1 as there have been many a setback seen in recent times.

Bu one should not be over confident as we have recently seen many a stunning upsets by players way behind the top seeded players charging and winning.

While Federer has lost tow of his last ten matches (against Murray at Shanghai and Del Potro at Basel), Tipsarevic has lost many matches - five if I count. He recently lost to Janowicz at Paris Masters and has joined the World Tour Finals in the absence of knee-injured Nadal.

Would Tipsarevic be able to take advantage of the opportunity given to him by Nadal's absence and make headlines?
