Federer beat Del Potro to Clash with Nadal in Semis of World Tour Finals

Federer rejoices his victory over Del Potro Saturday at O2 Arena

In a sensational match at the London's O2 stadium's centre court, Roger Federer beat Juan Martin Del Potro in a three set match to set up a semi-final clash with Rafael Nadal at the World Tour Finals.

Federer having lost the first set 4-6 to the Argentinian, won the next two sets 7-6 (7-2) 7-5 and will face world number one Nadal in the semis of the ATP World Tour Finals on Sunday.



The match was witnessed by a capacity crowd - and most of these were Swiss fans of Federer who cheered every time Federer won a point and waved Swiss flags.

Wawrinka joins Nadal and Djokovic in semis of ATP World Tour Finals

Ranked 7th, Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland joins Nadal and Djokovic in the semis of ATP World Tour Finals.

Wawrinka, who played his toughest match against world no.1 Nadal, beat Spaniard David Ferrer 6-7 (3-7) 6-4 6-1 in the final group round.




However, Wawrinka needed Nadal to win against his match with Tomas Berdych for him to qalify for the semis - and NAdal did by beating Berdych 6-4 1-6 6-3 in the last Group A match.

It may be added that Novak Djokovic is already through from Group B, and will be joined by Roger Federer or Juan Martin Del Potro.

Djokovic qualifies for London Semis

World number 2 Novak Djokovic ensured his entry into the semis of the ATP World Tour Finals Thursday beating Juan Martin Del Potro. 

Djokovic now joins world number one Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals with a 6-3 3-6 6-3 victory in London. Djokovic has won both of his two matches and tops the Group B, as Nadal does in Group A. Federer is at the second slot with 1-1 stats.



It was a 19th consecutive win for Djokovic since losing to Nadal in the US Open final in September.

Meanwhile, Del Potro and Roger Federer will battle for the second Group B qualification place on Saturday.

Watch Live Berdych vs Tsonga Free Streaming | ATP World Tour Finals [Day-3]- 7 November


The second match at the World Tour Finals at O2 Arena London is being played between 6th ranked Tomas Berdych from the Czech Republic and 8th ranked Jo-Wilfred Tsonga from France Wednesday evening today.

Both Berdych and Tsonga have played six times before their seventh encounter today, since they frist met at Besancon in 2004 with Berdych having a 4-2 winning edge over Tsonga.

In nhis first match on the opening day of the championship, Berdych lost to Andy Murray 6-3, 3-6, 4-6, while Djokovic beat Tsonga 7-6(4) 6-3.

The match between Berdych and Tsonga is scheduled for Wednesday, 7 November 2012 at 19:45 GMT at O2 Arena, London.
