Manchester United Outscores Norwich 4-0

In a classic victory in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup at Old Trafford, the Red Devils outclassed and outscored the Canaries 4-0 last night.

The victory takes the Devils in the last eight of the championship.

The superb performance included two goals by Javier Hernandez - which were also the first to goals of the match, followed by one each by Jones and Fabio.

The victory extended United's unbeaten run to six games and, despite some indifferent performances during that time, there does seem to be some momentum building after a stuttering start to manager David Moyes's reign.

Commenting on Javier's superb performance, Manchester United assistant manger Steve Round said: "Javier Hernandez is such a good character. I don't think [his lack of first-team action this season] has fazed him at all. He is a really infectious character who loves to score goals."

Rafael Nadal in last eight at China Open

US Open champion Spaniard Rafael Nadal beat Philipp Kohlschreiber at the China Open to move a notch closer to regain his world number one title once again.

Nadal will replace Novak Djokovic as number one if he reaches the final, or the Serb fails to win the title.

The 27-year-old Spaniard won 6-4 7-6 (7-3) to set up a quarter-final against Italy's Fabio Fognini in Beijing.

It may be recalled that Nadal beat Kohlschreiber on his way to victory at the US Open last month. But it was a hard win as the match lasted four sets in New York, and the German tested him once again at China's National Tennis Centre.
