After lifting the silverware at Halle recently in men's double title category, Pakistan’s Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and his Dutch partner Jean-Julien Rojer reached the men’s doubles quarter-finals at the ATP ‘s-Hertogenbosch / UNICEF Open in Netherlands on Tuesday.
Qureshi and Rojer overcame an initial stiff challenge to beat Alejandro Falla and Santiago Giraldo of Colombia in straight sets. The second-seeded pair bagged the closely-contested first set after a tie-break 7-6 (7-4). In the second set, the recently-crowned Halle Open champions sailed home with ease with a 6-2 scoreline.
The tournament, being held in ‘s-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands, is the pair’s last grass-court tournament before the Wimbledon Championships.
Qureshi and Rojer won their second title as a team, when they won the Halle Open in Germany last weekend. Earlier, they won the Estoril Open in Portugal.
