Australia claim third test, wins series 2-0

Australia won the third and final test against West Indies by 75 runs on Friday to secure a 2-0 series win despite a valiant second innings effort from the home side.

Set a daunting target of 370 to win, West Indies resumed on 173 for five and were bowled out for 294, shortly before lunch on the final day.

Australia captain Michael Clarke finished with five wickets for only the second time in his test career while his counterpart Darren Sammy scored a lively 61, his best test score.
The chase ended when Sammy top-edged Nathan Lyon, as he tried to sweep the spinner, and Ben Hilfenhaus pocketed the catch to prompt celebrations from the tourists.

Razzaq will leave next week to join his county for the English Twenty20 championship.

Razzaq, who has played 46 Tests and 265 ODIs besides 26 Twenty20 matches, said he had decided to play in England because cricket was his bread and butter and he wanted to continue playing the game.

Stosur faces Sharapova in Stuttgart quarters: Watch Free Live Stream

In the qurterfianls of the WTA Stuttgart Friday, the US Open winner Stosur to face Sharapova in Stuttgart quarters  Samantha Stosur faces world number two Russian Maria Sharapova.
Stuttgart Quarters: Samantha Stosur [L] vs Maria Sharapova [R]
Australian fifth seeded Samantha Stosur beat the defending champion Julia Goerges 6-2, 2-6, 6-3.

Both Stosur and Sharapova are not new to each other as they have met at least ten times since 2004. The Russian however has a tremendous edge of 9-1 wins over the Australian. Stosur only one defeated Sharapova in WTA Istanbul 6-1, 7-5 in 2011.

Both players have lost matches each in the last ten matches played in 2012. For Sharapova, it was S Williams both times who beat her in WTA Charleston and WTA Miami.

We wait and see who emerges as victor as Sharapova seems hot favourite for having an edge over aging Stosur, who is three years elder to Sharapova.

The quarterfinal of Porsche Tennis Grand Prix is sheduled for Friday 27 April 2012 at 16:30 GMT

Rafael Nadal vs Janko Tipsarevic (ATP Barcelona): Free Live Stream

Friday afternoon 27 April, 2012 world Number Two Rafael Nadal comes face to face fifth seeded Serbian Janko Tipsarevic in the quarterfinal of ATP Barcelona / Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell.

WTA BArcelona Quarterfinal: Rafael Nadal vs Janko Tipsarevic
Earlier, Rafael brushed aside world number 246 Robert Farah 6-2, 6-3 in their match played on Thursday to reach the quarterfinals of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell. However, the score speaks volume of resistance from such a low ranking player to world number two and the king of red clay.

Serbian Janko Tipsarevic, who dismissed Portugal’s Frederico Gil 6-2, 6-2, lost both his past two meetings with Nadal, including once on clay, and is bidding to reach his third ATP World Tour semi-final of the season.

Nadal after recently recovering from his knee injury is play superbly, having lost only one of his last ten matches - and the lost one was the one in which he retired against Murray at Miami due to his troubling knee. The Serb on the other hand has lost three of his ten matches played this year. The last loss was at Monte Carlo when Simon beat him 6-0 4-6 6-1.

Who is favourite - well I should not say who is but suffice to say that the Spainard has not lost a match at the ATP World Tour 500 clay-court tournament since 2003.

The match is scheduled for Friday 27 April 2012 at 13:30 GMT
